Established in January 2000, FASI Inc. is an employee-owned corporation dedicated to servicing and repairing Beta LaserMike and Z-Mike/Zygo products. There are 10 FASI technician-owners in 4 locations, each with from 20 to 30 years of experience supporting this specialized equipment. This means that their collective knowledge totals over two centuries.

Steve Cox, PresidentWorking with laser measurement since 1981 Steve served as President of LaserMike, Inc. from 1988 – 1998 where he built a highly regarded service team, grew employee strength from 40 to 200, led the acquisition of Z-Mike, and was promoted to Managing Director of Beta & LaserMike worldwide. As a recognized leader in the Laser Micrometer industry, Steve supports FASI’s growth and financial requirements. A CPA, Steve’s experience includes 7 years of “Big Six” public accounting. |

Joe Gomez, Service Manager, Connecticut FacilityWorking with laser measurement since 1984 Joe has over 27 years of experience with the Z-Mike Division of Beta LaserMike Inc., Zygo Corporation, and FASI. He was the Service Manager of Z-Mike for 6 years, a Zygo Service Technician for 5 years, and Zygo’s Production Manager for 3 years. As a Field Service Technician with Zygo, Joe developed training programs and numerous service procedures. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering Technology and an Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Fluent in Spanish, Joe is one of FASI’s original partners, supporting Z-Mike products. |

Matt Trull, Field Technical Engineer, Ohio FacilityWorking with laser measurement since 1988 One of FASI’s original partners, Matt brings 22 years of experience in production and customer support with LaserMike, Inc. Matt spent 7 years in Operations including a stint as the Group Leader of the Processor/PC Board Assembly and Test Department. His experience as a Customer Support Representative included responsibilities for field service repairs, customer training, preventative maintenance contracts, in-house repairs and technical telephone support. He also served as a Field Service Engineer for Wire and Cable products, providing service and installation of Beta control systems. Matt holds an Associate of Science degree in Electronic Engineering and certification in Industrial Electricity and Industrial Electronics. |

Kaylle Jonas, Field Service Engineer, North Carolina FacilityWorking with laser measurement since 1988 Kaylle brings 23 years of experience to FASI’s customers. Formerly with LaserMike in various roles including Supervisor of the Scanner Alignment Department, he wrote many of the Alignment and Test Procedures for LaserMike scanners. Kaylle successfully established LaserMike’s first regional service center, providing calibration, contract, on-site and in-house services for LaserMike customers throughout the Southeast and eastern seaboard. Prior to joining LaserMike, he served six years with the United States Marine Corp. receiving electronic/communication training on advanced microwave and satellite communication systems. Kaylle is a founding partner of FASI. |

Travis Hunziker, Field Technical Engineer, Ohio FacilityWorking with laser measurement since 1987 Travis has more than 20 years of laser gauging experience and an Associates Degree in Electronics/Industrial Electronics. An original FASI partner, Travis previously worked with LaserMike in the Final Test and Scanner Alignment departments where he gained valuable experience in the alignment and testing of LaserMike scanners and systems. He also served as a Processor Test Supervisor with responsibility for writing and maintaining ISO 9000 test and assembly procedures, testing and troubleshooting all electronic assemblies and processors, and building test equipment. Additionally, Travis was a Field Service Engineer at Beta LaserMike providing field and bench repair on all LaserMike products, technical and customer phone support, customer training, and installation of LaserMike systems. He also provided telephone support, bench repair, and calibration for Beta products. |

Mike Baker, Field Technical Engineer, Missouri FacilityWorking with laser measurement since 1994 Mike started at LaserMike in 1994 where his duties included scanner alignment, final test, and inside sales support. In 1997 he opened LaserMike’s Midwest Regional Service Center. In addition to providing repair, calibration, and contract services on LaserMike products, Mike has commissioned a number of Beta control systems assuring their proper operation and providing training to operators and maintenance personnel. Mike received his technical training in the U.S. Air Force where he worked as a bench technician on airborne test equipment. Mike is also one of the original FASI partners. |

Don Haskins, Field Technical Engineer, Ohio FacilityWorking with laser measurement since 1986 Don brings 25 years of LaserMike experience to FASI. Don has extensive experience in ultrasonics having worked in sales for 11 years demonstrating the Beta LaserMike Ultramike. He has installed and/or demonstrated equipment in over 200 plants throughout the US and worldwide. Don also worked in Scanner Alignment, Engineering, and supervised the Processor Assembly Department. While with Beta LaserMike, he served as Midwest Regional Service Manager. Don has an Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering, 60 credit hours at Sinclair Community College for Automation Engineering, and numerous course credits from seminars. |

John Youngs, Quality ManagerFormerly LaserMike’s Director of Service, John grew that service team by more than 50% while doubling the number of service facilities. Subsequently, John served as Vice President of Manufacturing for Daytronic Corporation. A founding partner of FASI, Inc., John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration, both from the University of Dayton. |
